I had my first child during CA-1 and my second during CA-3 year. I pumped at work until 1 year old for each of them and continued breastfeeding at home beyond that time. It was hard! I ended up graduating 6 months off-cycle as a result of my maternity leaves. Now I am part of the Lactation Taskforce in Anesthesiology (LTA) at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and we are actively working to improve the experience of lactating at work. I love this work!
